Delicious!!

Week 3 started a little late for me because I had problems accessing internet. I was really anxious about it.
To tell you the truth I was curious to know about the meaning of that word Delicious!! I kept thinking of that, but as time goes by so fast, I did not go on the net to check before this week. I was glad with the surprise. Now we can save our favorite sites and access them everywhere.
This week we’ve been focusing in audio and oral skills. Like Robert, I particularly like working with that topic with my students. I liked both articles I read. The one about authentic material, that is, if they are not prepared specially for language learners they are authentic. It takes out all the doubts about that. The second one was: New Perspectives in Teaching Pronunciation. I’ve never tried any of the ideas about using internet tools with my students before. Maybe it is an idea for the project.
Finally, we were given some projects from previous courses to read to some have ideas to work with our own project. However, I feel a little puzzled on how I am going to work with my students.  I have some ideas, but nothing concrete yet. That is why I am going to read more projects before week 4 to have more ideas.

  1. Hello Marcia,

It is a pleasure to meet you! Like you, I also have some ideas about my future webskill project, but nothing definite either. I read three previous projects and all of them are so different that I feel both motivated and baffled. So in the meantime, I’ll do my best to benefit from this course!

    Take care!

  3. Hi Marcia, your blog is looking great! Nice job. I am glad you are thinking about your final project very seriously. I am sure you will come up with an idea or two for what to do. Just be sure to have the tool stem from a need your class has. And the other advice I have is the "KISS" principle - keep it simple stupid. I'm not calling you stupid : ) but this is just an expression we have in English. We all often try to make things complex and perfect when we do projects like this. I have found the best projects are very focused and elegantly simple. Don't feel you have to do everything in this short project. And don't feel you have to have a perfect project. We can learn a lot from what doesn't work when we implement the technology change, maybe even more then from what does work. -Robert
